Should the 33-year-old Giroux miss any games, it would be the first time since Feb. 20 to 25, 2016 when he was sidelined for three contests. He’s suited up for 349 consecutive games since.

Giroux and Braun join defenceman Travis Sanheim on the NHL’s COVID list after he was added Sunday prior to the game between Philadelphia and Washington, which was allowed to be played after the Flyers’ roster returned negative rapid COVID-19 tests. Tuesday’s game between Washington and Philadelphia was the 34th postponed due to coronavirus concerns this season.
Additionally, the Minnesota Wild are up to 12 players on the list with goalie Cam Talbot joining its ranks Tuesday, while the New Jersey Devils are at 19 and the Buffalo Sabres at nine. All three teams have been hit with a rash of postponements of late.
